The Angelique and Haruka OVA series are released by Koei, and for a company releasing anime for the first time, they did a pretty good job (if you ignored the long wait between each volume...). After the success of the OVA series, Koei announced the TV anime series for Haruka to begin in the 2004 fall season. The series, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Hachiyoushou~ (nicknamed HaruHachi) was based on the manga and ran for 26 episodes. As the manga was still running at the time, the anime series used the game's ending. The Angelique anime series was next, starting in summer 2006 and based on the etoile game. It ran for two half-seasons for a total of 25 episodes. The first season, Koisuru Tenshi Angelique ~Kokoro no Mezameru Toki~ was set in Angelique Limoges' Shinchuu universe, and the second season, Koisuru Tenshi Angelique ~Kagayaki no Ashita~ was set in Angelique Collet's Seijuu universe. Not long after Angelique began, Corda was next, and the anime series, Kiniro no Corda ~primo passo~ began in the fall season of 2006. The series ran for a total of 25 episodes, and like Haruka, was based on the manga. |
